It’s been over a month since I finished the Trusting God book by Jerry Bridges. I wanted to go through the book again it was so good but I gave it away. I will have to buy another one soon because I am going to start a study with some other girls. The book has taught me so much about the character of God. Now when life gets rough I often think about how I should be trusting God and that I don’t always need an answer to my ‘whys’.
I taught Sundays school a couple of weeks ago and one of the things I told the kids was that if we learn about the true character of God then obeying his commands is so much easier. In fact we are (for the most part) pleased to obey him when we understand how much he really does love us and care for us. God’s love us is so deep it is hard to understand.
